This browser-based task demonstrates one kind of sustained-attention exercise.

Task settings

How it works

  1. Watch the sequence of colored shapes.
  2. Choose Same — respond only when both the shape and color are identical to the immediately preceding item.
  3. Do not respond when either the shape or color changes.
  4. You can tap or click the response button. Space or Enter also responds when focus is not on another control.

Pause and stop controls remain available throughout the task. Escape also stops the task.

Choose settings, then start when you are ready.

No camera or movement tracking is used. Session data stays in this page unless you choose to download a JSON file.
